A counter, not a call centre
Compass is a travel and visa desk on Residency Road. Small enough that the person who takes your call is the person who books the flight and lodges the file, and old enough to know which shortcuts are not worth taking.
What we actually do
Three things, and they are deliberately the same three. We prepare and lodge visa applications for Indian passport holders. We book flights out of Bengaluru, domestic and international. And we book the hotels: which, when the two are put together, becomes a holiday we planned rather than a set of bookings you assembled.
The order matters because it is also our order of competence. The visa file is the craft; the flights and the rooms are what make it a trip. We are not an online travel agency with a visa desk bolted on, and we do not pretend to beat an airline website on a simple point-to-point fare that needs no thought.
What we do not do
We do not file passport applications. Fresh passports, renewals and Tatkal go through the Passport Seva network, you can do it yourself, and we will point you at the right route rather than charge you to stand in a queue on your behalf. We will happily plan the trip around the renewal.
We do not guarantee visa approvals, because the decision is not ours to make. We do not produce fabricated flight or hotel confirmations for visa files, because missions check and the applicant is the one who pays for it. And we do not quote a number before we understand the trip, which is why there is no price list on this website.
Ask us for any of those and you will get a straight no and a reasonable alternative. That is a deliberately narrower promise than some of our competitors make, and it is the whole reason clients come back.
How we charge
Two separate numbers, always written down before anything begins. The third-party costs (airfares, room rates, consular charges, appointment and biometric fees) are set by the airline, the property or the authority and are paid to them. Our service fee is ours, quoted for the specific work your trip needs, and it does not change once agreed unless the scope does.
Six things you can hold us to
Come in, or just call first
Most trips start with a five-minute phone call. If it turns out you need to sit across a desk with your papers, we will tell you that too.
